Environmental Initiatives

Hollywood Private Hospital has an Environmental and Waste Management Committee.

Our commitment is to

1. Eliminate unnecessary waste

2. Responsive waste disposal e.g. Recycling, Worm Farm

3. Water efficiency management

4. Reduce energy (all forms) consumption

5. Greening Hollywood Program e.g. Since 2001 Hollywood has planted over 8500 native trees, shrubs and grasses within the hospital site.

6. Installed 27 bird boxes around the hospital site to encourage native bird activity within the area.

7. TravelSmart Program. A hospital initiative encouraging staff to use alternative transport solutions

8. Monitor, report and, where possible, reduce all pollutants

9. Comply with regulations and standards.
