Elective (planned) Admissions

Elective admissions are arranged through the office of an accredited medical practitioner. In most cases a general practitioner would refer the patient to a consultant at their rooms where an elective admission could be arranged if appropriate.

Acute (unplanned) Admissions

General Practitioners may refer patients for admission to Hollywood 24 hours a day.

This may be done in one of two ways, either by contacting the consultants to agree to and arrange admission or by contacting the hospital directly.

During working hours phone 08 9346 6174 and speak with the Bed Manager.

After 5.00pm and on weekends contact the After Hours Clinical Nurse Manager on 08 9346 6643.

Major specialities have an on-call roster of specialists to ensure there is always a consultant available to accept and treat acute admissions. However, patients may be referred to any accredited specialist with their knowledge and consent.
