  MIMS Online  direct access to the MIMS world of medical knowledge and information databases straight from the web
• Therapeutic Guidlines (log in with Athens)
  Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is an independent not-for-profit organisation dedicated to deriving guidelines for therapy from the latest world literature, interpreted and distilled by Australia's most eminent and respected experts.
• Australia: eMJA Guidelines
  The Medical Journal of Australia offers on its website clinical guidelines published by the MJA. These documents represent the consensus opinion of experts based on review of the scientific literature.

Allied Health

• Internet for Allied Health
  Free teach-yourself tutorial on the Web, offers step-by-step instruction in Internet searching and information skills, such as critical evaluation. It also provides a guided tour of the best of the Web for allied health.
• OT Seeker
  This database comprises abstracts and quality ratings of randomised control trials and systematic reviews relevant to Occupational Therapy.
• PEDro - Physiotherapy Evidence Database
  Developed by the Centre for Evidence-Based Physiotherapy to give physiotherapists and other allied health professionals access to bibliographic details and abstracts of randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews relating to physiotherapy.

  A website providing links to medical dictionaries, books, journals, medical conferences, clinical guidelines etc. 
• PubMed
  Free access to Medline direct from the National Library of Medicine in Washington.
• Radiology Assistant
  Website developed by the Radiological Society of the Netherlands "to focus on common radiological issues in a problme-oriented way for radiology residents and radiology residents and radiologists." provides articles, cases and quizzes.
• The Specialist Library for Surgery, Theatres & Anaesthesia
  An up-to-date collection of evidence-based guidance, practical websites and patient information, available from the UK National Library for Health website.

Nursing Websites

• Hardin Meta Directory of Nursing & Nursing Research
  Portal for nurses with quality internet resources, selected by the University of Iowa.
• Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI)
  Access Best Practice Information Sheets, Evidence Summaries, Systematic Reviews, and more. Some links require a password - please ask the Library staff.
• Nurses Board of Western Australia
• NursingCenter
  American website created by nurses for nurses, which provides electronic information resources to nurses for education, research and practice. It includes links to nursing journals, nursing associations, and continuing education opportunities.
• Nursing Reference Centre
  Search evidence based care sheets, guidelines, health news and drug information; combine this with a search for journal articles on CINAHL. Continuing education modules also available. Provided via EBSCO - ask the Library staff for user id and password.  (Log in with athens)

  The mission of WUWHS is to enhance the life of persons with wounds worldwide.

Oncology Websites

• Cancer Institute Standard Cancer Treatments
  The NSW Cancer Institute provides information on evidence-based cancer treatments, protocols and patient information sheets. It also includes a drug calculator for clinicians.
• National Cancer Institute (U.S.)
• Virtual Cancer Centre
  Australian website covering all aspects of cancer from symptoms, diseases, treatment and support.
• Mesothelioma & Asbestos Cancer Resource Center
  Asbestos.net is a comprehensive resource on asbestos and its effects, including mesothelioma, asbestos cancer, and other asbestos-related diseases.
