    MIMS Online  direct access to the MIMS world of medical knowledge and information databases straight from the web
  • Therapeutic Guidlines (log in with Athens)
    Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is an independent not-for-profit organisation dedicated to deriving guidelines for therapy from the latest world literature, interpreted and distilled by Australia's most eminent and respected experts.
  • Australia: eMJA Guidelines
    The Medical Journal of Australia offers on its website clinical guidelines published by the MJA. These documents represent the consensus opinion of experts based on review of the scientific literature.

Allied Health

  • Internet for Allied Health
    Free teach-yourself tutorial on the Web, offers step-by-step instruction in Internet searching and information skills, such as critical evaluation. It also provides a guided tour of the best of the Web for allied health.
  • OT Seeker
    This database comprises abstracts and quality ratings of randomised control trials and systematic reviews relevant to Occupational Therapy.
  • PEDro - Physiotherapy Evidence Database
    Developed by the Centre for Evidence-Based Physiotherapy to give physiotherapists and other allied health professionals access to bibliographic details and abstracts of randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews relating to physiotherapy.

    Free access to Medline direct from the National Library of Medicine in Washington.

    Website developed by the Radiological Society of the Netherlands "to focus on common radiological issues in a problme-oriented way for radiology residents and radiology residents and radiologists." provides articles, cases and quizzes.
  • The Specialist Library for Surgery, Theatres & Anaesthesia
    An up-to-date collection of evidence-based guidance, practical websites and patient information, available from the UK National Library for Health website.
